Please help. I have produced an art-board worth of paths which all have text on them. There are many. I would like to apply strokes/lines to the paths that hold text. Since it seems you can't have both stroke and text on a path I intend to duplicate and layer the entire thing on top, getting rid of the text on one layer and applying the strokes/lines instead. So now I need to know how I can keep all the paths but get rid of all the text. Any ideas? Many thanks!

Hey, just click the path with your Direct Selection tool (white arrow) and then you can apply a stroke to it. No need to duplicate everything or split them into layers.
