Get Rid of Your Forced iPhone Data Plan (question)

I need to do this to save money, but my one question is this -

I don't have an AT&T phone that isnt in use. If I called up AT&T and did my faulty switch with my brothers iphone (you have to tell them the serial number) will it show up in there system as a used phone or cause any problem? I obviously would only be using it for like 5 minutes.

Its not going to work they know as soon as you put a sim in the iPhone. Just look on your online account, it will show you what phone your using. Even if you switch sims it will almost immediately show up on your account.

Well there has to be away to do this considering a friend of mine just showed me his phone and his bill. So...obviously its possible. Also the 1000 people who comment on this blog who have successfully done it as well.. :0

Okay, do you always exaggerate 28 people to be 1,000? Also, of those 28, most were just commenting something like "it'll be great if it works." Anyway, since your friend got it to work, you should get help from him, right? Or ask on the blog?

Just put your sim on a non iphone cellphone for 5 minutes and call them up.
Tell them your iphone broke or something and you wont be using it any more and that you want to get rid of the data plan.
Tell them to also put a block on your account so you cant acess any data thru the sim/AT&T's network.

Just buy a cheap AT&T phone off craigslist or borrow someones at&t phone that isn't in use and insert your sim. then contact att and tell them u aren't using an iPhone anymore and that you don't need the data plan. They will 100% cancel your data plan and thats it!
