Phones Get Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge now or wait till S8

I'm looking at upgrading my iPhone 6s but I'm wondering whether I should take advantage of a deal which includes:

- Galaxy S7 Edge Limited Edition Black Pearl 128GB (SM-G935F)
- Bonus 256GB SDCARD
- VR Headset

or whether I should wait for the Galaxy S8. I'm leaning towards getting it rather than waiting but what does everyone else think?

If you consider the S7E I'm selling a used one that's in excellent shape as well as a 256gb sd card, a few cases and a wireless fast charger. It's the black one (not jet black).

Agreed - in NZ the amount saved will be a lot higher and knowing what the S8 will priced like, it'll probably be at least 6-9 months before it gets down to the price of where the bundle is today but with none of the added features.

I'm in New Zealand so a Verizon phone isn't viable - plus I'd prefer to have the international version of the phone.

Unfortunately that is in the US where as outside of the US the specials tend to be pretty meh.

Went into the Spark shop today to try it first hand...now I know why I prefer having an iPhone after all. The allure of the alternative is quickly evaporated when the rubber hits the road and realise that it is those basic things like regular updates are things you give up when you leave the ecosystem not to mention having to crate a whole new email address and Google account.

Still looking at seeing what the S8 brings considering that Spark has said that the March update has come through so that gives me much relief. The deal they have running with the S7 Edge 'Special Edition' is going to keep going for a few more weeks so I'll see what happens with the S8 and whether they do the sort of 'price cut' that you've talked about - something I'm sceptical about given what retailers are like where they want to pretty much bleed the customer dry and more so.
