For those like me who have just the m9400 built into their Macs, there is a great way to boost the performance of the graphic card under Windows.

Upon installing the most recent drivers off Nvidia's site, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and choose "GPU Clock speed", increase the speed to 450 MHz (which is the factory setting throttled down by Apple).

Enjoy 10% boost in all the 3D titles.

It worked wonders and never did I hear or experience any fan or overheating problems since 450 MHz is the factory setting the m9400 was delivered with.:D
 
Well it does depend on the hardware. I remember adjusting my 9400M Macbook to the default clock speed and the temperature warning kicked in.

The default clock speed may be 450mhz but each hardware line is different, with their own heat+cooling specs.
