I have the mac mini open to the point where i see the memory but how exactly do i take the sticks out? they are horizontal and no latch i see of to make it verticle to take them out. How exactly do you get the memory sticks out and seat the new ones back in? any help would be great.

Thanks
Chris

Well there was a notches just so fragile looking I couldn't believe it was the latches. You just pry two little notches on either side of the memory out and the stick will pop up. Then there's two more tab notch things for the lower memory stick. I recommend taking both sticks out then put the new bottom stick in then the top. You push kinda hard and they will snap back down. I guess like how they are in the laptops, same principal.

Initially the mac mini is very intimidating to get into. But I guess you just realize its the bottom and no one looks at it. You will have notches out of the plastic where the vents are when you are done opening it. I couldn't get one of the screws of the black plastic frame in so its floating around somewhere in there. Also the airport card tabs are on the bottom not the top like in the picture of that one site. Took me awhile to figure that out. You take some pliers and squeeze them together from the bottom because the top is covered.

Putting the case on is awkward, have to go around the rim to get it back into place. Kinda frustrating but worth it! This thing is so snappy now. Nice to have Adobe apps run smooth and have multiple open at the same time. The glitchyness of the UI has died and it is much more responsive even when you are doing something intensive. It feels faster than a duel G5 I use at my school. And on par with the pro apps I use. Very happy with the outcome. btw i made it 2 gig from 512 mb. Hope that enlightens some people.
