Hi there,

I have some problems with starting Windows 7 RC 64bit with WMWare.

I got Windows 7 RC 64bit installed on my Bootcamp Partition (It is installed on a empty harddrive in Bay 4 of my Mac Pro)

Windows 7 works fine and everything.
I want get it working with VMware.
I have VMWare 2.0 installed.
My problem is, that Windows 7 doesn't start with VMware, here is what I did:

- Start VMWare
- The Bootcamp Partition is in the "playlist"
- So I choose it and say that it is a "Windows Vista X64 Edition" or "Windows Server 2008 X64 Edition" / I tried both.

So when I Press the start button it says:

"VMWare is preparing to start your Bootcamp Partition, this may take a few minutes".

So I am waiting hours and nothing is happening, I tried it three times. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong. Didn't found any solution on Google or macrumors.

thanks !

Are you using the latest version of VMWare Fusion? I haven't had any problems creating a VM based upon my bootcamp install of Windows 7.
