Geting a refund on my macbook pro

I want a refund on my macbook pro, im had a power mac g3 when they first came out and that was a peice of crap to be honest and i should have sent it back within a week but i didnt and i just spent years trying to get it to work properly, im geting a similar feeling from my macbook. my mac mini was great which is what i was looking for.

The problems i have are things constantly crash, main culprits are safari, iphoto, vlc, frontrow, it also ocasionaly takes 4 mins the boot up, somtimes compleatly crashs. Ive reinstalled os x 3 times in 3 months from scratch but things are always the same,

I bought it refurb online, i just know this isnt the sort of thing that is a design fault, id rather just buy an imac or mac mini if they get c2d in sometime. even things crashing on me 6 times a day is better than geting a pc so i want another mac but i just want somthing rock solid.

if i do an rma will they just have a little play and go, yeah this is fine bla bla bla, maybe tincker with it and send it back to me? whats the best way for me to go about this. I love macs they are amazing, but this macbook just isnt good enough and i dont trust it/macbooks anymore.

Why don't you just ask for a new one?

Bring it down to the Genius Bar. You never even gave it a chance. The folks down at the genius bar are very helpful. Book yourself an appointment and give them a shot.

How much hastle do you think it would be getting a new one? Dont think i have a genus bar around me im living in denmark at the moment and cant tell from the website if their are any apple store here. ill keep looking

to deal with apple support you need to know one thing.

The louder you shout and more fuss you make, the more they will do for you.

They will not be very helpful if you accept their first answer. i have learned this from expirience. my MBP had 2 spots on the screen where pixels were stuck permanently on bright blue. Apple said that was acceptable, i explained how the spots were in the middle of the screen and they said it was still acceptable. i wouldnt accept that. when they said they would take it back they said i would have to ship it!!! i also would not accept that and after talking to a supervisor got a courrier , courtsey of apple to collect the MBP.

Im not saying to shout and scream for a new laptop if you ruined yours due to blatent disregard, but know your rights.

Unfortunately, there are no Apple stores in Denmark. Defective Macs are being serviced through a different company called Humac, who specialize in selling and supporting Macs. They have stores in Copenhagen and Aarhus, where you can bring your 'book in for service, even if you bought it through the Apple website. However, they will probably just take it in for repairs, I really doubt that they would agree that your machine should be replaced. It sounds like a software issue anyway.
