Getting a 2017 iMac this week. How do I handle Bootcamp Windows 10 Key

Hi All,

Im upgrading from an older iMac to a new one this week. I currently have bootcamp set up with Windows 10 and licensed with an official key I purchased directly from Microsoft.

When I set up bootcamp on the new iMac will it still accept the same key or are there restrictions on how many systems it can be used on etc?.

The key should be registered under your Microsoft account. I think all you have to do is remove Wind10 from the old iMac and then just download Win10 from your Microsoft account to the new iMac. If there are complications call Microsoft support to get help with the new activation.

I have contacted Microsoft with activation issues both at work and for personal use and they always helped me solve any problems I had. 100% good experience with their Windows support.
