I am excited about getting one for Father's Day...but have to wait because they are sold out in the stores in Houston. I wanted to know how games I have for the iPhone look and play on the ipad. More importantly, will my progress on an iPhone game carry over to my ipad and vice versa? Thanks!

They are tolerable, but once you play a game designed for iPad you will notice the difference big time.

As far as i know progress and saves will not transfer. I tested loading up Angry Birds and had to start from scratch on iPad.

Thanks! I guess I'll hold off on buying the Plants vs Zombies game I love for the iPad...I don't see a need to spend $10 and have to start from scratch.

Just saying that I absolutely love pvz on the iPad, I beat it too on my itouch, although I got my iPad weeks ago and I downloaded it then, I didn't start playing till last week because of the same reason you have, though when I started playing it feels and looks awesome
I have to say pvz is one of the best looking apps on the iPad

Good point! I was thinking about getting Field Runners again, but I like PvZ a lot more. I guess I could get comfortable with a few beers and start over! I wish there were more games of this quality and replay value! Now that I think about it, I may get Angry Birds and Asphalt 5. I am pretty pysched to see what it will be like going from my 3GS to an iPad. I know it's going to be a whole new ballgame!
