My Logitech® VX™ Revolution should be coming in the mail for newegg.com today. Should I install the Logitech Drivers or should I just plug n play it.

Just plug 'n' play it. Unless you really want to use the extra features of the mouse.

The Logitech Control Center causes kernel panics on my Macs so I don't use it.

Unless you like the default mouse acceleration that OSX forces upon you, you'll have to pick up a 3rd party app. to tweak it. I use USB Overdrive with my VX.

just download logitech control center. I got this mouse in teh other day and I haven't had any problems. I like to program the buttons. I like the mouse overall. Good deal 30 bucks after rebate.

i use steermouse and i love it. it was one of the first mac programs that i paid for (in terms of 3rd party developers)

perfect for my logitech bluetooth mouse that has a zillion buttons.

do yourself a favor. DO NOT INSALL LOGITECH CONTROL CENTRE. search around, this program causes countless problems on macs, and you may get lucky and not encountery any - but why take the risk when steermouse will do a perfectly fine job? logitech also installs APE on your system without even telling you, and for me, has caused one sure kernel panic. i have no idea how to delete the pos remnents of the thing using spotlight, hopefully it doesnt bite me in the ass.

Yah, I am not liking the speed of the acc. rate. USB Overdrive sounds like the best thing for me.

Any Advice over USB Overdrive or steermouse?

I also use steermouse, but I use it with my Logitech VX Revolution, it works great!

steermouse is more for bluetooth mice whereas usb overdrive is more for usb dongled-mice

Wish i would have found this earlier as i was just about to call logitech and send my vx in because it keeps causing kernel panics!

How do i uninstall the logitech control center?

Edit: nevermind i found it in the application support folder.
guess i should have looked a little harder. :D
