Gotta love insane timing situations!

I need to give my recently sold PB away by Saturday. I have an external hardrive to back my data up.

I'm leaving for a convention next Tuesday at noon for a week.

I was hoping to stop by the store today and see when the Apple Store would get some in, but their clerks were less than helpful. "Sir, even if I knew when we'd be getting in a new shipment of Powerbooks I would not be able to tell you."

/boggle.

So should I order online and pray it gets here in time? Or do you think the Apple Store (in Hawaii no less) will get some in by then?

that really doesn't make sense, considering they were being shipped TODAY, and many of the stores had them in-store, just covered with a tarp.

Ask a different clerk... This one doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about...
I asked about the Nanos. I called every day until I knew they had it in stock.. I wanted to go play with one and not buy it.. and they knew that, and still told me when they were coming in..

**EDIT** also, I would NOT order online hoping it'll get there in time. There'll be some FedEx strike or SOMETHING, just to mess it up. You know how things work. Watched pots never boil, etc etc.
