I'm getting a used Mac Mini to add into my setup. Recently I've been using my MacBook Air in clamshell mode connected to my monitor and it's become a pain. So I'm going to get a cheaper Mac Mini to see if it works out. I just have some questions. I have a full backup of my MacBook Air on an External HD. When I get the Mac Mini, can I make it boot as if it's a new Mac where I can select transfer new data to it? I'd like to transfer certain things to it, like my iTunes library, but not everything because I don't need everything. That's my biggest concern at this point. Perhaps I should've thought it through better before I bought it, but I got it rather cheap and I figured one way or another I'll be able to get my iTunes library copied over. Any advice? Thanks!

Open iTunes, click on "Help", then type in "move Library".
You'll get explicit instructions on how to backup and move your Library to a new computer.
You'll also find info on "d-authorizing" and "authorizing" computers.
Some good info on moving Library can be found here.
