Good day,

Some years ago i was stupid and young and opened my ipod. I removed some components. Theres only the processor and the storing chip that is left. My idea is, to buy a ipod touch 4 and replace the component with my left components. Can i get access than to my old data? I just want to get my old videos and images.

Or does anyone know how maybe is it possible?
I uploaded a image of the chip.

I have done similar “transplants” to e.g. recover photos and videos successfully- but there are maybe a few hurdles - as far as I remember there are different revisions of the internal board for the 4th (and 5th generation) and Apple changed e.g. the internal battery connector. I do not remember wether you can run it without battery easily - “easily” refers to not needing a steady hand, a bino and a very fine soldering tip. 🤪

Ok, i see now that its missing the "bridge" to the loading station (gained 1 stupidity coin more). Does someone know if, there are companys or private people who could do this?
