Well Finally I have been saving for 8 weeks, for a 32GB iPad In 2 weeks I'll have enough :D , So my nan's taking me down to liverpool one to the apple store. Where going to make a day out of it of just me and my nan :)

BUT some questions.

Is it better paying in card then cash?
Who Do I ask, do I just ask anybody or do I have to go upstairs If theirs a till where the genius are or something?
Do I get a nice bag once buying it with a sexy apple logo?
Would I had to wait for a bit like an hour so so?

Any Tips Ect when buying?

1) Personally, I'd rather pay in card than cash. With a card, you have a receipt, as well as your online bank statements, and some credit cards can give you additional insurance on your purchase. Cash, you run the risk of getting mugged, but it should be fine.

2) You can just ask any sales associate for an iPad, and you should be fine.

3)Yes, you get one of those nice apple bags.

4)My advice is that you call ahead of time to make sure they have the right iPad in stock. Do NOT assume that they just have piles and piles of iPads, call to confirm, or to reserve one. Most people have had to reserve one ahead of time. Otherwise, you might be wasting time.

Good luck!

Card just allows you to keep a financial record, rather than filing away just a receipt.

Just ask one of the people in blue t shirts. They'll ask which model you want and they'll get you it and check it out for you.

You do get the infamous white apple strap bags. Always useful.

Why would you have to wait? There is ALWAYS a free person, unless all the kids on their holidays are sitting around messing about as they normally do :/ I dislike it when people are in there when they will never buy a product. I was in the Munich apple store in Germany the other day, and needed to test something on a MBP with same specs as mine, but it was filled with stupid 13 year olds on facebook.

You should call ahead to check they have them in stock. Most stores are completely out of stock, in which case I would order it online from Pc World, they have delivery within 3 days on most models.

Call store, ask how to get on the iPad reserve list. Some stores require you come in to the store to put your name on the list, others let you do it over the phone. When the iPad comes in, you get an email, and have to pick it up within the time specified in the email, usually about a day or so.

Congrats on getting your iPad. :D You are going to enjoy it ALOT!

You will like the experience of shopping in the Apple store. Nice people and great customer service.

Enjoy!

Awesome. I'm excited for you. I have been cutting my grandma and grandpa's lawn all summer, I saved my birthday money, saved my yard sale money and am about to sell my old nano (3rd gen) to a friend, I will then have almost enough to get my vary own iPad. I think I have spent hours at Best Buys and Apple stores just playing with one (an iPad) and asking questions. I have also done countless hours of online research, reading forums, reviews and tutuorials. I can't wait to get mine and I'm sure your pumped to get yours! Have fun with it! :)

Wow man, that is serious dedication! My hat is off to you! :) I remember saving up my paper route money for months to get a Timex Sinclair computer when was a kid.

just ask any of the blue people, DO NOT ask the really fit employee whos wiping the imac screens, they usually don't know what a ipad is lol

Mine is currently one state away, but with the weekend I won't be getting it from FedEx until Monday. All that lost quality time I could be spending with it this weekend!

Depends, receipt wise, you can get one emailed to you so you have an electronic version. Also if you do choose to return (maybe to upgrade model or for another model) then make sure that you know they will refund you in whatever original payment method, so by cash, you get cash back, however by card, they have to refund your card, which is not usually instant.

Also you might want to look into mobileme, you can get a discount when buying an iPad, about £20 off. Gives you iDisk and find my iphone/ipad for example.

Liverpool Apple store wasn't too busy last time I went, but their are quite a few kids just going on facebook and just generally not going to buy anything in store.

Enjoy your iPad. :D

Do the Apple Stores accept cash?

Yeah. that kind of annoys me when kids are just using them to go on games or go on facebook.

Like when I went to try it to see what its like and the size and that, was full of kids on facebook or playing games. I was like if you're not buying one then go away. :D
