Ordered a 27" 3.2GHz i3 iMac on the 13th of last week. Delivery date is set for the 20th and I'm getting so antsy. In hindsight, kind of wish I spend the extra $50 for next day shipping but, patience is a virtue (or so they say.)

shoulda waited! if you order tomorrow iLife 11 would be pre-loaded

I have no problem installing new iLife myself...if I even decide to get it. There is always the 'should have waited' simply because something new is always in the pipeline. Why continue to wait for the next thing, and the next, and the next thing, and never get it. iLife isn't one of those things that makes or breaks the purchase. Besides iPhoto to get pictures off my camera/phone, I don't even bother with iLife.

I fully agree altho i would not order if i knew an event was coming up! W

as the event annouced tho when you ordered?! / could you cancel once it was announced.....

Sorry, I mis-typed in my original post. My order was placed in the evening of the 12th and shipped on the 13th. So when I ordered the event didn't exist yet (as far as the public knew.) and canceling wasn't an option since it was in the 'Prepared for Shipment' step at the time the event news came out.

Only thing that would get me would be is 10.7 if miraculously released (1% chance of that happening.) But, even if that happened, I'd be able to buy it deeply discounted on Apple's typical 'you bought your mac just a wee-bit too early' program.

No way thats gonna happen i wouldnt worry about that at all, even if it is disclosed tomorrow we wont see it installed on macs for a while yet unless your an Apple developer.

UPS just delivered it, now I need to wait for pesky work to get done with so I can take it home and set it up. :D

You, Sir, need to know that you can get the iLife suite for like 8 bucks. Just go to http://www.apple.com/ilife/uptodate/ and sign in for the up-to-date program. This only counts for iMacs (or Macs for that matter) ordered between the 1st of October untill now. So, you're good to go!

I did it myself, quite a nifty thing. Many people tend to forget it.
