has anyone figured out a way to get back the old battery widget that would list all the items currently connected and not waste ton of space if there is only one device or two?

ie, right now, with only my AirPods and iPhone, there is room to show four more devices which occupying large blank areas on the widget.

When it comes to Apple's battery widget, the only alternative so far seems to be the medium sized widget.

By default it seems to be wasted space. For example, instead of 8 shortcuts on your homescreen you can now have 4 or 2 in a widget the same size…

pretty bummed by this. i used to swipe to see the battery levels of my airpods and phone (numerical value) and now that widget occupies almost the whole widget screen.

You can still see that with a smaller (medium) sized widget.

good point. thanks for pointing this out. i still like the text based old version that adapted its size accordingly, but this works.
