Hi guys I am trying to play music that I have uploaded to Apple Music and matched. But when I go to press play, I get a pop up saying "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID. If you use iTunes Match with your ID, you cannot use iTunes Match, auto-download, or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days." I press the transfer button and then I get the pop up saying "Could not purchase "null". An unknown error occurred (1010)". Does anybody have any fixes for this?

I've heard that downloading a paid song then trying the previously matched songs again would fix this issue. I tried getting a free song on iTunes and it downloaded just fine. But my matched songs still don't download. If anybody knows of some fixes that would be appreciated.

Did you ever resolve this? I can play all my songs fine on my Windows desktop and my iPhone but my Macbook Pro is encountering the same issue. Apple support said I have to wait 90 days but I doubt it. I changed my Apple ID email back in January that's the only thing I can think of that caused this to trip up.

Edit: I saw this thread, https://www.reddit.com/r/applehelp/comments/p3yjkt
"Hey for anyone who still needs help, I had the same problem and what I did was play a song I had purchased through iTunes then press Transfer. After that all other songs I matched are playable."

So, I've never purchased a song before but I remember U2 had a free album. So I went to my Account settings in Music app and unhid the U2 album, clicked to download it from the cloud, and after that finished, I went to download one of my previously matched songs that was giving the error and it worked! Apple support was useless - thanks Reddit!

I just found this, and am going to try it out myself. Apple Support was useless to fix it. Four agents and two hours later I was still answering questions asked by the first agent and I just gave up. I'll try this solution and see if it works.

I purchased a cheap song (69 cents), it didn't ask me to transfer, but the music I can't play is still coming up with the Transfer dialogue and then the error when I click Transfer.

Had the same issue on Windows and I tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling and even uninstalling with revo uninstaller and I would end up with the same issue. I tried making a purchase of a free song that used to be free and that didn't seem to work. I even deleted my existing offline iTunes library and starting from scratch with what was already synced with iTunes and that didn't work. But when I did that, I just ended up selecting random songs and pressing transfer and it would fail but I think I got lucky and kept selecting random songs in my library and tried my old synced ones and that seemed to work. Now I can download and play songs without any issues. Not sure what fixed it as my Mac didn't have any of these issues.

Just try some older songs in your library until it works that's what worked for me on my Windows PC when I had the same issue. If you already have it downloaded remove it and press the play button until you get the transfer pop up. Keep trying it on all your songs in your library until it works then the songs you want should be able to be played and downloaded.
