I have an old iPhone 6S+ and the lightening connector is well and truly ****ed. I don't care about the phone but I would like to get some info off of it. Is there a way to extract this without the lightening connector or would it be better for me to bring it to one of those fix it spots and pay the $50 or wahtever it is? I don't care if the thing works after getting the data I want off it.

Might get what you need if wifi sync was enabled in iTunes or Finder "iTunes". Can do sync and or backup when enabled.

However, if trying to extract files from an app, not all apps are setup to backup their data, but might be able to get data if they have file sharing turned on (Files tab in iTunes/Finder for device entry).

You're probably way past trying to clean that port but one of these (perhaps with some compressed air) can work wonders:

Look inside the lightning port on the phone with a magnifying glass and flashlight — betcha you’ll find debris in there
