Getting Imac replaced a few questions?

I have just noticed a cluster of dead pixels on my new imac this morning. I have called apple and they are going to send a replacement. I am getting this machine picked up in the next few days.

Do I pack up everything that came with my order? mouse, keyboard,remote,battery charger?

As looking at my replacement order on apples site they are sending everything I ordered.


Also should I de authorise my itunes account on this imac before I send it back?

If they are replacing everything, then yes. Don't take the remote or battery charger with you though; they didn't come with the iMac.

Yes, because you're going to replace your computer with a different one.

I would call apple to see what they want you to ship.

Do not pack up the battery charger or remote. They are yours and are not standard with the iMac.

Ah yes, that's true. I missed that in the list. Don't take those with you!

Same here in the uk. Dead pixels. Said they would send one out as a priority yesterday to us. Still hasn't shipped. Not been impressed with their service so far

Yeah, there has been a few problems with that. Hope it gets resolved for you

hmmmm. Did you buy a battery charger and apple remote with the iMac? If so, you should probably take the charger/remote you already have back with you if they're sending you a new one.

Yes I bought the charger and remote with the original order. I cant understand why they would send me it all again. It looks like an identical order. All they need to send me is a new computer.

Just phone them and ask. Sometimes they just ask for the iMac and power cord.

I send my imac back on the ninth for a replacement. They sent an email saying that they will ship me one in 1-3 days. They just pushed it back another week today.

It seem that they are backed up so you should be prepared to wait a while.

The guy on the phone said to me that they send out everything brand new so that you are completely satisfied with your new Mac, or some crap like that.

Its a bit daft, I might hang on to the charger and remote just in case and if they send them out again i can always return them.
