Getting locked into messages -- screen jumps to top

Am I the lone one on this?

In Instagram, Messages, and most with a message dialog box, I keep getting trapped in the message.

As soon as I try and type in the message box, the screen to the top. This takes me away from the send field/box and traps you, unable to do anything.

Here's what I mean...

A simple search in the iOS 17 beta threads would’ve brought up literally hundreds of reports of this. You are not the only one. Hopefully it’s fixed in the next beta.
