iPod Getting my podcasts to my TV?

I would like to watch my HD Podcasts on my HDTV. I don't have Apple TV, nor do I want one. How can I do it?

I have a Macbook Pro. My TV has HDMI, VGA, Component and Composite inputs.

I know my MBP came with a DVI to VGA adapter. Can I simply plug my MBP via VGA to the HDTV and watch them that way?

Can you load the video to USB drive or something (play the USB through the XBox 360 to the TV?

Plugging the MBP into the TV via VGA will work fine.

Edit: If you transfer the podcasts to your iPod, you can use the Apple A/V cables to hook the iPod up to your TV.
