getting NEW MACBOOK....next year

So finaly after so much anticipation my parents have agreed to buy me a macbook n-e ways there gonna buy it next year because i have to earn it by getting a percentage of the money and being an honor student in my school
were pretty poor....lol .....so this is big news to finaly replace that aging imac g3 we have im in highschool and although i dont neccesarily need the portability for school i will require it for other stuff . but heres the point do u think that by march/april next year the macbooks will have

1: Better graphics (please no more intergrated crap) i wanna play some modern games !!!!!!
2:Blu-ray drive ( like i said were not the richest of people so we need to make the most out of the system and last time i bought a computer dvd was an emerging format and i was too antsy and didnt wait as a result my computer is dvddrive-less , and i dont want to be in the same position)
3: penryn proccesors or better (they probably will but im jus making sure)

The following is all speculation.

Integrated graphics? Most likely, the MacBook will always have integrated graphics... but they will be improved when the chipset is replaced.

Santa Rosa hardware:

Santa Rosa has been out since May of this year. The GMA X3100 in Santa Rosa has been redesigned and should be more powerful.
If the MacBook is upgraded to Santa Rosa and new drivers are written for Mac OS, I suspect that it will be able to play more games than it can right now. The Windows drivers for these IGPs are just now being rewritten to support the new design.
Penryn will be possible once the MacBook is refreshed with Santa Rosa.

With Santa Rosa's integrated graphics, a rather decent CPU or a dedicated decoder (in the form of a PCI Express internal Mini Card) will probably be needed to play all HD-DVD/Blu-ray discs reliably.

Montevina hardware:

By the time Montevina is released (scheduled for 2Q2008), the IGP should have enough power to offload enough of HD-DVD/Blu-ray playback that most CPUs in the Penryn line will be able to handle it. However, this might not show up in MacBooks until late 2008 or even later.

I think that Blu-ray support on the MacBook is highly unlikely for the next 1-2 years. I think that the drives will show up in the Mac Pro first and then be phased in as options on the rest of Apple's product line, with the Mac Mini and MacBook coming last.

You might consider making a concerted effort towards polishing up your spelling, punctuation and grammar if you expect to stay on honorable terms with the local Honor Club.


Insofar as speculation concerning imminent and future Apple hardware, there's really no point to the endeavors.

Work hard, earn some money and wait a bit before starting to even consider what your options are. Until the product is actually being made by Apple it's just a daydream and it's not worth the disappointment that you will feel if you allow yourself to be excited about the mere possibility of an Apple product that doesn't ever come to be.

Why is this in the iMac section? Anyway, playing the waiting game is dumb (I've learned from experience) because when you (OP) buy your faster-than-this-years MacBook, then 4 months later a newer one will be released and you will wish you had waited. Just buy when you want a computer. But if people like to wait, god bless america. I'm just not one of them.

and like some people said the apple laptops video will probably stay integrated but updated chip sets i have an iBook Pro and i can run games fine but its not better than my ps

Right right we all love the hate but please back to topic before this gets out of hand.I was simply asking what everyone thinks the macbook might get in following revisons but of course i know that the macbook will only get better with time.i am not playing the waiting game as i stated in the original post i simply am buying at that time because thats about the time the money will be ready ok? get it? thank you and Wrona56 love the support and joedy dont push it some people at times talk without thinking and you and i have just demonstrated that.

remember we do not have any idea what apple will do. hence all the rumor reports and a lot of miscalled updates. heck no one knows anything about the next ipod and that should be coming up right around the corner lol
