I gave my old iPad 3 which is stuck at iOS 9.3.5 to a relative. While some apps would no longer work due to older versions being dropped, eBay was one that did. Relative wanted eBay so I logged into their Apple ID on my laptop and downloaded it. Going back onto the iPad it had the cloud icon rather than the usual ‘Get’ so I pressed it, but it said it wasn’t compatible with this iPad.

Any ideas as the iPad would still run the old version of the app when I last used it on Tuesday or Wednesday?

Thanks

I just checked the app in the iTunes app store on my Mac. Says new version is 5.33.1 dated July 16, 2019

Perhaps the 'window' just closed for older versions (i.e. iOS9)?

How about using a mobile version of their (and other) web sites? Some features are missing in eBays mobile site but on my iPhone I can switch back and forth from www.ebay.com to m.ebay.com

I prefer using a browser rather than an app as there is control w/ a browser over privacy.
