iPod Getting playlists with the same column types

I'm trying to tidy up my playlists. I want to have all the columns be the same for all playlists. Right now it seems to default to a certain set of columns, but I want to have it default to something more my liking, each and everytime I make a new playlist (or to update my current onlines). Is there a way to do this.
