getting ready for ML, i want to make a backup of Lion just in case, i don't really have extra HDD atm so ll have to get one, if its small i probably get a flash drive or something, so any ideas ?, i don't really have any files or apps other than xcode and a facebook notifications app and the stuff that came with the mac.

To find out either go to Finder, find your internal HDD, normally called Macintosh HD, found via CMD+SHIFT+C, right click on it and select GET INFO and see how much capacity is used. Or open Disk Utility and select the Macintosh HD volume there and look at the bottom of the window to see how much storage space you use.

Btw, if you have important data on that Mac, it is advisable to back that up in any capacity you can.
