turn around
Hey there, I recently got a MacBook and I love it. I'd had no problems and I take it everywhere with me. But I got the 512MB RAM and an 80GB Hard Drive. I had originally planned to buy 1 or 2GB RAM. I do a lot of photoshop work and use photography, video, and web design programs but I'm not sure if 1GB RAM is fine or if I would need more.

So there are two questions to this thread:
1. Should I get 1 or 2GB RAM for what I do?
2. Where is the cheapest place I can get MacBook 2.0 White memory?

Also would this work if I got two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231069 ?

Yeah someone else suggested that site to me but I thought I would keep looking around for a cheaper price because RAM is RAM.

If you want to do your own testing, and take the risk of the expense of shipping back, and possibly restocking fees, go ahead.

If you don't want that risk and potential expense, then look for a reputable dealer who tests and guarantees compatibility with your model Mac.

Like DMS who iGary recommended, or Crucial or OWC.

Try a wee Search on these forums and you will see we have covered this many times, and these are the three USA dealers that MR members recommend the most often.
