How do I setup XP so it recognizes my wireless apple keyboard and mouse on startup and then uses them henceforward without having to fiddle with bluetooth settings or anything afterwards?

My bluetooth keyboard & mouse work perfectly fine about a minute after the XP desktop loads. I don't believe there's a way to make it work right away. Besides, you know you don't want to screw with the Windows bluetooth prefs. :(

Ok so tell me what you did. You put the batteries in your wireless mouse and keyboard, turned them on, unplugged your wired devices?, and the wireless devices just started working automatically?

Am I supposed to be able to disconnect my wired mouse and keyboard in WinXP, restart my computer in XP, get to the login screen and just wait for a minute or something, and then the bluetooth will work and my wireless keyboard will come to life so I can log in?

Or do they have to be recognized before restarting the computer in order to disconnect wired devices and have wireless devices take over.

Right now I'm in XP with the wired devices still connected and the wireless devices are being completely ignored.

I would suggest getting your keyboard and mouse to work in OSX first, then boot into Windows and it should automatically detect them. Otherwise, make sure you've installed the XP drivers from your Leopard disk then rummage about for the bluetooth options in control panel.
