iPhone X Ghost texting after downloading ios 13

Three times now when texting my phone suddenly starts randomly typing weird things. Nothing I can do will stop it except to turn it off completely and then it doesn't want to restart until I plug it up.

I only have one more month till I am out of applecare too.

Then what are you waiting for? Take it to Apple and get it replaced! Your main board is malfunctioning.

I just got off the phone with Apple. He recommended I just put in for a replacement. They will mail me a new phone and when they receive my old one then the charge will come off my credit card. He said that they now have an option when your AppleCare runs out to renew it monthly. I do think I will try that providing the cost isn't' really terribly high.

I forgot to ask Apple. When my replacement phone comes do I transfer my sim to the new phone?
