Okay, I've got a MacBook that I've had all sorts of odd problems with. It's been back to the Apple Reseller a number of times and had various replacements (Optical Drive, Logic Board x2, Lower Case x3, Battery) and is still doing strange stuff.

The reseller has seen the stuff happen and seen my proof via screen-shots of over-heating due to 0rpm fan speeds, half the screen being black etc. etc. and the thing just can't sleep. Trouble is he can't reproduce any symtoms at will and can't see any cause for them either.

Now I've noticed something new, at least I think it's new; is this normal?

I've taken to turning AirPort off and turning Bluetooth off so both icons are greyed out and then switching to the login screen and Sleeping the T'Book from there as this seems to at least get it off to sleep even if it later wakes itself.

Anyway it's come to notice yesterday that when on the login screen I can use Blutooth, both my Mighty Mouse and can see it from my phone??

Also I was listening to the radio over the net in the coffee shop, and on leaving turned airport off and just shut the case, walked out of the coffee shop and down the street..... with the worlds largest WiFi iPod?? until I got to far and lost signal???

WTF is going on? I know the WiFi is 'wrong' but does a normal MacBook turn BT on at the login screen?
