(i hope im posting in the right place for this, since i have a g4 imac) um i dont know much about computers or anything so i hope sombody might be able to help me out with this simple question: how do you get more MHz on your computer? do you have to buy a chip to put in your computer, like with ram? or can you just download it or somthing?

unless you're willing to open the sucker up and go at it with a soldering iron, there is no way.

o well i was just wondering because i was gonna try out a game but i dont have the minimum requirement of GHz on my computer...
You can upgrade SOME computers to upgrade the Mhz/Ghz, but its fairly hard, and on an iMac G4 is even harder, and seeing how you don't seem to know all that much about computers, i'd say don't try it
Also on SOME computers you can overclock it either by open it up and changing things around(again very hard and even harder on an iMac G4) or I think there was an ''App'' that used software to overclock an iBook G3(link-http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/systems/ibook_2002_overclocking.html, but their is no "app" to do that on your iMac that I know of)

o crap woops i meant MHz not GHz im a little retarded like that. anyway, since its such a risk to do it myself, how much would it cost to buy it and have it done by a profesional at a mac store?
Overclocking is too risky and as you said you don't know much about computers so thats a no no.
The best thing you can do is to pack that machine full of ram and be happy about it.
