Gifting Rentals for Apple TV

Dumb question:

Is it possible yet to gift rentals?

I want to gift rentals for my folks who are getting an Apple TV. It would be nice to go through a few clicks in iTunes and then have the rental pop up in their account, allowing them to transfer it to their TV.

The iTunes Gift Card does that pretty much - although you can't select the rental, you give them credit to rent it.

It is always better to give credit and let them choose what they want to watch than deciding for them I think.
