Is it just me or have vendors really stepped up to the plate this year gift-wise? You usually get so-so stuff but this year I have gotten some really nice things.

Google sent me a small leather case with cool computer toys inside- a 64 MB flash drive, a laptop optical mouse with scroll wheel, a 4 port USB hub and USB laptop light thingy.

Major automotive web site sent me a huge (must have weighed over 20 lbs.) Godiva gift basket. Damn, their s#$t is good.

My SEO company sent me one of those digital photo frames. Very nice!

Lastly, my email service provider sent me a Cross pen and pencil set with my name engraved.

Sure beats the usual crappy gift baskets.

I got a freaking LL Bean table arrangement.

My biggest client got a $100.00 gift card.

you know, while were on the topic of gifts. what would be the ideal gift you would want from a client?

i am in sales and i am curious as to what exactly would appeal to my customer besides anything illegal or unlawful.
