Hi all, so im currently on a broadband plan with 50mbps down and 15mbps up, I use the Devolo 1200+ AC to get full speed and signal around the house and they work perfectly.

Today my street was dug up and had fibre laid down so in the next few months ill be upgrading to either 500mbps up and down or the full gigabit plan.

My question is will the Devolo 1200+ AC handle 500 or 1000mbps over wifi or will I need to upgrade to something else like 3000AC etc? Whats the max speed they can put out in terms of actual wifi speed?

Thanks

Do they have utility where you can view link speed?

Unless they’re really close. It’s unusual to get over 300mbps with PoE. Usually it’ll be in the 100-150 range.

Yea, those are surprisingly good results. You'll likely be fine with either plan.

Even if your connections were faster. I doubt you'd notice the difference between 500 and gigabit internet. Web browsing and streaming. Even with multiple users streaming 4K content just doesn't use that much bandwidth.

There aren't many home scenarios to justify gigabit. Unless it offers unlimited data vs a data cap on lower tiers.
