GIMP intel ready

I just noticed that GIMP.app seem to be avaliable as PPC and intel binary. Has anybody tried it on an intel Mac? Anybody up for posting initial impressions of it?

??? I am not sure I follow. Isn't there just a Gimp.app that you just copy to /Applications folder, which starts X11 along with the actual application istself when double clicked?

How do I get GIMP to work on a Macbook Pro.. Do i have to reinstall the OS or is X11 already on the machine when you get it direct from apple.

You have to put the OS install disc in, and find the 'Install Optional Components' icon. (Sorry, I don't have my disc with me right now, so I can't lead you directly to it.)
