I use GIMP for cloning and healing on some photographs and have a different use in mind. After taking multiple images in various stages of the lunar eclipse I would like to have one image showing the various stages. is this possible in GIMP. If so how? Thats for any info; links or even the steps.

Are you able to add layers in GIMP? If so add each photo to a different layer. Then either mask each image to just show the Moon or set the layer's blend mode to something like "lighten" or "lighter color." That should get you started then it is just a matter of refining the process.

Hi there, yes you can easily add the images together with layers in GIMP (great software) - if you haven't used layers, check out the GIMP forums as they have tutorials on it.
