Give us an easily upgradeable Mac Pro, not the trash can. Modernize the 5.1 case. Give Nvidia the tools to create Mac version cards for us to buy aftermarket if you guys are so dead set on only using AMD cards in your own offerings. We want our truck. We want to be able to customize our machines as we wish.

Seriously, I'm looking into buying new hardware considering my 2010 Mac Pro is getting a little dull. It's 6 years old. But there is NOTHING good to buy on the Apple side of things. It's better than anything Apple offers. It's been upgraded to 12 cores and I have a PCIE flash drive in there. It also won't throttle due to it being in a properly cooled enclosure. You figure by now there would be something? Anything? But there is NOTHING.

On the PC side, you can build some nice stuff, but Mac is much better for my workflow. However, you are still stuck with IPS monitors as the top of the line. I already have 2 IPS monitors. There is no real upgrade path, outside of some faster hardware. There are no OLED monitors on the market yet that are anywhere near affordable. The cases on the PC side also just don't compare to the classic Mac Pros when it comes to quality. They just don't. It's so disappointing.

The phones get the yearly upgrades and also get all the nice high-res OLED screens, while the desktop market stagnates. Disappointing.

Apples customer base consists mainly of those who buy their iDevices on a near yearly basis. Then you get into Mac users and its mostly people running Macbook whatevers, Mini's and Imacs. They don't even display the Mac Pro at my local Apple store, the market for a Mac Pro is such a small market that apple doesn't see the point in putting the main focus towards something that doesn't keep the lights on, And frankly I wouldn't either.

It doesn't even need to be their main focus. You can literally use off the shelf pc parts and put a few resources into a designing case to fit all of that hardware. They should be able to do it.

And let me tell you something else. I leave the Mac Platform, I will no longer buy iPhones, and friends and family come to me for tech advice. I'd advise them to the same at that point.

Apple never was a fan of "Off the shelf"

I'm in the same boat... I just can't fathom how it could possibly be all that difficult for Apple to do this....
Just make a new Mac Pro already!

Because Phil will say - "It hasn't been 10 years".

Tim might not be that bad - but he's letting Jony and Phil kill the Mac business.

I think all three of them should just resign, and have the dude in charge of the HP Z Workstations be in charge of the Mac. We need POWER! The current Mac lineup is crawling to catch up to the speed of new PCs! It's so sad, especially because I'm so in love with Mac!
[doublepost=1481512524][/doublepost]Apple should just bring back the old G5/Mac Pro Tower design. And of course update it a bit. That design was phenomenal! "Make Apple Grate Again." :p :p

IMO Apple is 'ghosting' Mac Pro customers.

They're quietly letting it die rather be 'courageous' and just pulling the plug on it, probably because of the backlash from the various 'pro' communities. Remember the FCPX 'upgrade' outrage? Better to just let people look for other options on their own.
