I just picked up my 27" iMac and so far I'm liking it. except for the fact that getting to the USB ports is gonna be a pain.

so my question is, what kind of USB hubs are you guys and gals using? I need some good suggestions on something that works well with these computers but yet it also has to look great too.

any suggestions?

I know there's thousands out there. I want to know what other iMac users are using. as I said earlier, I 'm looking for something that's gonna work but also match the iMac's appearance.

Yes I know what you mean. I found a white Belkin 4 USB hub that only has a short 6" cable. It drops down nicely for easy access and no cable clutter.

^ there we go. finally a good suggestion. I like the fact that it also has the iPhone dock.

please keep more suggestions coming.

Yep, that iPod/iPhone dock meant one less USB port used up on the back of the iMac. Obviously, the Simplifi needs a port itself, but it's affectively adding 3 ports (2 x USB + Dock).

It's worth noting that if you're going to be hooking up larger hard disks or other power hungry devices, that you should use the included power adapter that it comes with.

I really like the Lacie USB Hub. I looks very slick and works quite well.

for the older white iMac's i would simply suggest this one here

but i use just this one here its perfect as it allows to connect the hub to two computers and needs just switching instead of reconnecting all the connected devices all the time
