I will be giving my old MBP 8,2 to someone and I need to confirm what is necessary.
It is now running Big Sur with OCLP 0.6.1 installed (including root patches).
1. I know I should log out of iCloud, and maybe iMessage, but I have never used or even run Facebook. Should I open Facebook to check if I am signed in somehow?
2. I intend to use AppCleaner to uninstall my copy of MS Office and maybe some other apps. Then make a new admin User, and after booting into the new user, then delete my User account.
3. Should I try to boot into Internet Recovery and install the latest version of OS that will run natively on the MacBook or just leave Big Sur installed?
If anyone has done this or something similar, can you give me your advice?

Is the person receiving techie enough to maintain OCLP?

If not then I'd do a clean install and install the last official macOS your 2011 MBP 15" can handle.

Doing a clean install would restore it to its original state as if it were brand new without any of your personal data.
