We're switching from Verizon to T-Mobile and I'm a little fuzzy on the proper steps to let my son use my iPhone 4S on T-Mobile.

I understand how to unlock it with the R-Sim III but since it was my phone should I reset the phone first so he can associate his iTunes account first on the phone?

Could I do Reset All Settings and keep my jailbreak? Or do I have to factory reset, do the jailbreak again, then unlock using the R-Sim III?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Restore and do the jailbreak again. He will have a "clean" 4S which he can than asociate with his itunes acoount.

As you are jailbroken you can't do a reset all settings, it will sent the phone in a loop (this needs to be a sticky).

Sign out of iTunes before you restore it or iTunes will just put your AppleID onto the 4S at the completion of the restore (this can be changed in settings if it happens)

NEVER Reset all settings while jb NEVER

If only wanting to associate his iTunes ID then just go to settings> store> sign out and put his iTunes Account info.

Thanks everyone for the info! I've got to wait for the R-Sim 3 to come in and I'll be good to go.

Didn't want to start a new thread for what could be answered here I hope:

Selling my iP4 that is JBd on 5.1.1.
Just did the ATT unlock request (says it takes 5-7 days)

What is the best process to reset the phone and keep the JB?
