I'm planning on giving my iPhone to my brother, and I'm wondering if he'd be able to simply transfer his at&t simcard from his razr phone to my iPhone.

If he can, where is the sim card located on the iPhone? Thanks in advance for any help and sorry for not knowing much on my own. :p

Sim is at top of the phone, youll need a pin or something to get it out

Not sure about the other question, might need to be jailbroken for that to work because its not an iPhone contract.. Good luck anywho

A standard (small) paperclip is the best too for the sim holder. Bend on leg at a right angle to the remainder of the paperclip and use that to press in and eject the sim holder. It does take a fair amount of pressure so dont be too scared to apply firm pressure.

You can run any sim in a jailbroken iPhone provided the iPhone is not an OOB (Out Of the Box) 1.1.3 model. There are other threads in this forum that can help decide if that is an option you wish to take. Be aware that a jailbroken phone is not covered by Apple warranty.

Your bros sim card won't work in the iPhone. Since he is with AT&T however, all he has to do is transfer his account from his current phone to the iPhone. That won't transfer his data stored on his current sim, but he would be able to use the iPhone with his own AT&T account without having to hack the iPhone.

He could use the Bluetooth connection on his Razor and transfer all his information to a mac and then transfer it to the iPhone from there.
