Tired of waiting for the Mac Mini update, so I'm going for a used or refurb iMac. Geekbench2 for the Mac Mini 1.83 is about 2300, while the iMac White 2.16 is 2700 and the iMac 2.4 2008 is 3200.
Really can't imagine the new Mini, whenever it comes out (August?) is going to be more than 3200 Geekbench2 score. So, I'm thinking at about $850 for a used 2.16 White imac, I'm within 10% of computing power for only about $200 more. Plus, I get iSight, Superdrive, more ram access, and separate graphics card.
Apple, just don't update the mini the day after I buy my iMac!
