Hey guys :) I usually clean my Mac Pro every 6 months and its heat sinks are almost always blocked by the time I clean them! I use SMC fan control to turn my fans to 1000 rpm as it knocks temps down well :)

I cleaned it out today and noticed my rear fan is really basically choked up but I can't get to clean it out without removing the heat sinks right? I have a march 2007 Mac Pro and I don't have the tools to remove the heat sinks so i cant get to clean the rear fan :( its almost got all holes blocked!!
:confused::D

+1
I have that air cannister which i havent used maybe will try that.
Just afraid ill blow something out of the case :)

My north bridge, south bridge and front of cpu heat sinks was totally packed with dust!! I could put my fans to 2800rpm and hardly feel a draft from the rear :( it was shocking! but now it can breathe! :D

I just take my Mac Pro out on my deck and hose it down.

....what?
