That's not good... I was hoping it wouldn't get jailbroken until after the launch tomorrow... Apple may be able to release a patch via iTunes during activation :\

While it is impressive to unlock the software before it was even released to the public, the App Store and the fact that tons of countries can get iPhones makes this news not as interesting anymore. But definitely kudos to the iPhone Dev Team for breaking this OS in record time.

It isn't so bad as Devteam won't release the unlock method to the public until after the 3G rollout and official 2.0 iTunes update.

It has been for a few months now. They have held off on releasing it till the official 2.0 was out.

I would have thought though will all the beta builds, that they would have to redo the coding, especially since the build is different than what was reported as the gold master.

not that I disagree with the unlock software is intended to do, I wonder if its better not to unlock the phone all together since Apple and AT&T will make it more difficult to purchase the next generation iPhone.

Nice. Would like to still be able to use jailbroken apps. I just wonder if there will be any sort of checks with the app store and some sort of coding with the phone when downloading apps. I guess you could just always download on itunes and sync them up if there was.
