Glass SMS tone

i do i actualy prefer it over tri-tone the more i use it. but when apple decides custom to allow custom sms tones ill go to that, but i think it will be along time before we gewt to that so ill use glass for now.
Seen a thread where others are having the same issue. Thanks for responding unlike the other jackass who thought it was funny.

It doesn't seem like a speaker distortion issue, because it isn't coming from the normal speaker.
It only happens when I'm on the phone with someone, and my head is against the phone. It doesn't sound like glass but distorted--it sounds like a completely different tone. I thought it was a feature actually, and only for glass, since it's so high-pitched it kind of hurts right next to your ear during a phone call.
I know this is a ridiculous notion, but I'm not quite sure what else to make of it.

My sister has her phone set to that, and it just went off about 10 minutes ago, and i thought the same thing. It normally sounds... normal.. for lack of a better word.. but this time it sounded strange (she was on facebook on it), but that was the only time.
I just took my iPhone in for repair because of some weird screen flickering. They did a diagnostics test and couldn't find anything wrong. They were about to send me away and do nothing for me when I pointed out the distorted glass sound.
Basically, if I'm on a call, whether on speaker or regular style, and I get a text message, the sound is distorted (set to glass). But if I'm not on a call, it's fine. And if I'm using headphones, it's fine.
Anyway, when I pointed out the issue, the genius said, "That's not right, let me swap it for a new one."
He did. Activated it. I left the store. Same issue.
