Hi,
Anyone know an quick easy way to create this kind of glossy 3d text effect, either in an adobe app (except photoshop extended, i only have reg.) or an other program.. maybe something inexpensive.

I'm sure there has to be some little program that can generate this type of thing with one click...

Thanks!

probably is but that looks like it was knocked up in a 3d app

Do you have Adobe Illustrator? It's easy to make 3D stuff in there since you can go to the 3D filter and extrude it. Then you could take it to Photoshop to give it the reflection maybe.

3D application is the way to do it, even if you can draw well enough to do it manually.
It's possible to create the illusion of specular highlights and reflections using filters and layer effects PS, but it won't look like your example, which was almost certainly rendered from a 3D application.

It doesn't need to look exactly like the example.
In fact, I'd rather do it all in Illustrator if i can...

I know how to o the 3d in illustrator, but what filters should I be looking for to have the glossy effect?

Thanks!
