Since other threads seem to devolve into this debate, I thought perhaps it should get its own thread.
Personally, I don't care much. I like the glossy screens, but I understand why people like the matte too. I just think that for a consumer line where most of the purchasers are attracted by the shiny glossy screens, Apple probably doesn't have much incentive to invest in making matte screens and stocking that extra inventory.
The probably figure that the only people who really care about glossy vs matte are professional users who are more likely to get an MBP or an Mac Pro.
