Gluing adapters

Anyone had any experience gluing screws into adapters?

I've seen them come loose far too many times to risk using them again without a stronger seal - may as well pick a strap I want on my watch and permanently adapt it for use with Apple Watch.

I was thinking of putting a little dot of No More Nails or silicone sealant in the screw hole then just screwing in as usual. Any other suggestions?

Loctite threadlocker (the blue version) which you can unscrew is what I used on my adaptors

Loctite 222. It's made for screws 6 mm or smaller and you'd keep the ability to unscrew the bar.

Good suggestion - thanks! Might pick up a tube of this and see if that does the trick?

Shame though, was hoping to use something I had in the cupboard for a more instant fix - hah.

Picked up some Loctite Threadlocker (not sure it's 222) from a local car garage.

It's in glue stick form so was a bit tricky getting it on the tiny screws. I managed though, tightened up last night and will try it out today.

I'll let you know how I get on

I got blue threadlocker myself. Added it yesterday. When I went to take the screws out one-at-a-time, 2 were loose.

So, just a PSA to others, do this...

Just some adapter that I found on amazon that came with a leather band. I had to order two kits, only one adapter from each fit, I sent back the two bad sides. Not a great kit, but the working sides are perfect.

Thread locker seemed to have worked. Haven't tried removing the screws since. It is possible that because of how small they are the blue could have made it impossible to come off. But I am happy with my band, so, no need to disassemble.

From both of those adapters, I couldn't even get them to slide in halfway.

update: Weeks later, loctite is still holding the adapters together. Haven't tried unscrewing yet.

All new to this watch band stuff, so forgive the question if it seems stupid. But how exactly do you place the loctite? Does it go on the screw thread before you screw it into the adapter or do you insert the screw into the adapter and add a touch of it on the screw head area or maybe under the head before you tighten the screw all the way in? Do you apply the glue with a toothpick or something like that?

My adapters arrived today a few days early but my bands aren't expected to arrive until Friday so I'm doing the research now on the loctite so I'll be ready. Man those screws are small! and I don't want to lose any of them because I'll never find them for sure.

BTW is there any place you can buy a small count of additional pentalobe screws for the Watch adapters?

Last night I was reading a thread on finding a Pentalobe screwdriver for the watch adapters. You might look there for the info. Thread was captioned as such I believe. I also made a post somewhere last night asking if anyone knew where you could order a small count of the tiny screws for the adapters. Not sure where where that post is or if it's been answered. I could definitely see losing these screws and was thinking ahead. Would be good to have a watch kit on hand with some.

The loctite goes on the threads.
I bought a 5ml tube and just squeezed the tube while holding it upright.
Then just dipped the screw in the drop of loctite that was at the tip of the tube.
And another drop in the ends of the metal rods.
