Hi,
is there a way to go from GM to the final version once it is released? Is it like on iOS, so that the GM is usually the same as the final version and you can update to the x.0.1 versions and following?

Most of the time, the GM that is seeded to developers is the same release that will be released to the public. In this case, we have candidate GM which means there could be another release to developers before going public. If the cGM now doesn't change, one will be able to download subsequent updates from the MAS.

GM is Gold Master - which *IS* the final version

I'm pretty sure there will be another GM candidate. There are a few really obvious bugs, like the graphics glitch for the volume overlay with transparency off.

I agree in many ways this release is a step backwards
