I heard that the graphic chip on the MacBook is performing better if the RAM is paired... So having 1 GB (2 x 512) would be sightly better than 1.25 GB (256 + 1GB)

Any thoughts ?
 
Basically the Extra 256 is 1 plus point
But Pairing memory is 1 plus point

So they'll balance each other out really.
 
Benchmarks I've seen only put the improvement at about 4%.

Having a gig (having enough ram) is hugely more important than pairing it.
