Does the Mac Mini GMA950 graphics chip already run at the maximum 400MHz? Only it seems I cannot get any performance boost from using the GMABooster overclocking tool on my Mac. I've read positive reviews about it working on Macbooks/other GMA 950 devices that use the underclocked portable versions, but the software claims support for Mac Mini, and why do that if it doesn't make a difference?

I know the difference won't be huge, but I use a 24" monitor and at that resolution even things like opening stacks from the dock are jittery. Smoothing that up a little would be fantastic.

I've installed the latest CHUD tools and tried the ones from the GMAbooster site, but getting no results. For example, Xbench's OpenGL test reports an identical framerate before and after 'overclocking' (about 280FPS). Has anyone else tried this with better results?

I can confrim that on MacBook GMA Boost tool does make the BIG difference in World of Warcraft. I'm getting +10 .. +15 FPS in some locations!
If I'm not mistaken, Mac Mini is 400MHz starting from some revision, i.e. Minis produced later than some date are silently using 400MHz, while the rest uses 250MHz.
XBENCH is something I'd prefer not to trust at all. E.g. I've read that it's GL test s**ks. Something like it loads RAM more than GPU.

Very interesting... I have not heard of GMABooster, but I do have a late 2006 MacBook with a GMA 950 that I wouldn't mind tweaking a bit if GMABooster could safely provide improved graphics performance.

Does anyone have any experience with GMABooster on a GMA 950 MacBook? Do you know if it is safe to use? Any overheating or lockup issues while using it?
